Since the iconic hit single “Loser” hit the airwaves in 1994, the now 43-year-old artist Beck Hansen has been diversifying his audience with a crossover sound that blends the spectrums of the alternative, rock and indie genres.
His recently-released 12th album, “Morning Phase,” is the first of two he plans to release this year. Beck has referred to “Morning Phase” as a “companion piece” to 2002’s “Sea Change.”
Despite the albums’ ties, Beck brings a more evolved sound to “Morning Phase.” After years of playing with a variety of sounds, he’s returned to a more straightforward style.
