Colorado struggled on its second day in Hawai’i.
The Buffs sat in 10th place after the first day of the Ameri Ari Invite in Waikoloa, Hawai’i and fell to 14th Wednesday.
Colorado was 3-over on the day, shooting a 291 team score. It brings the Buffs to even par for the tournament.
Junior Kevin Kring shot 2-under to lead the Buffs on day two. He finished the day with 3 birdies and one bogey on the 11th hole.
Junior Sebastian Heisele shot 1-over 73 on the day. He shot 2 birdies, 13 pars and three bogeys.
Both senior Luke Symons and sophomore Derek Fribbs ended their days 2-over. They both shot three bogeys on the first 6 holes, but Symons couldn’t take advantage of three birdies on the back nine.
Sophomore Johnny Widmer rounded out the Buffs scorers. Despite three birdies, he struggled down the stretch and ended 3-over 75.
The Buffs finish up the tournament Friday and will head to Newport Beach, Calif. where they play in the Battle at the Beach Feb. 13-15.
