The Campus Press caught up with quarterback Bernard Jackson, a 21-year-old junior ethnic studies major, after practice on Halloween to talk briefly-he was in a hurry to take his 22-month-old son trick-or-treating-about his likes and dislikes off the field.
CP: What are you going to be for Halloween this year?
BJ: I was Bob Marley over the weekend, but I’m not dressing up tonight. My son is dressing up as me.
CP: Going with the Halloween theme, what is your favorite scary movie?
BJ: Scary Movie.
CP: But that’s not even scary.
BJ: Okay, Saw III.
CP: What is your must-see TV show?
BJ: I don’t have cable. There’s no TV in my house, and hasn’t been for a while. But I used to love Nip/Tuck.
CP: What is your cell phone ring tone?
BJ: Vibrate. I have this new, high-tech phone that doesn’t get ring tones.
CP: People have seen you around campus with your iPod. What are you listening to?
BJ: My favorite artists are 2Pac, Busta Rhymes, The Notorious B.I.G., Game, and DMX.
CP: What’s your favorite song?
BJ: “Keep Ya Head Up” by 2Pac. I listen to that song probably four times a day, seriously.
CP: What are the top three traits you look for in a girl?
BJ: Ooh, don’t want to get into trouble with this one … pretty smile, funny, and passionate are the most important.
CP: Cats or dogs?
BJ: Dogs. I used to have a pit bull named Sexy.
CP: Mac or PC?
BJ: Mac.
CP: East Coast or West Coast?
BJ: West Coast. I’m from California.
CP: Ski or Snowboard?
BJ: Neither, but I want to try snowboarding this year after football is over.
CP: Jen or Angelina?
BJ: Angelina. Definitely Angelina.
CP: Paris or Nicole?
BJ: Neither!
