Grab some stuff around campus and keep your cash
Big plans, small budget? Here are some things around campus that will help put some cash back in your wallet.
Tutoring
The first paper is always a daunting task for freshmen, but CU is here to help. The CU Writing Center, part of the Program for Writing and Rhetoric, provides one-on-one help with the intricacies of grammar and style.
The Writing Center won’t write your paper for you, but if you come with the knowledge and with questions about how to explain it, they’ll show you the way. The writing center is located in the Norlin Library.
Laptops
Not everyone is able to bring a laptop to college. For those who want a spell checker and a web browser handy when studying, The Norlin Library and the Oliver C. Lester Math Physics Library allow students to check out laptops for use in the library.
You can get them from the circulation desk, and keep them for up to three hours. So when you’re cramming in the library and need quick access to a Web site, just use the library Wi-Fi to find what you need.
Bus Passes
Once you’ve finished that time-consuming paper or midterm and you’re ready to relax, CU is there for you.
As part of your student dues, you can use your Buff OneCard as a bus pass to get around CU and Boulder. Once you’ve got the RTD sticker, which comes on your card sleeve, the streets of Boulder are yours.
Late Night Rides
Finally, if you ever get lost after a party or a late movie, CU Night Ride is there to help you out.
They’ll pick you up anywhere within the Boulder city limits and take you anywhere on campus. There are no questions asked, so even if you’ve been out having a little too much fun, they’ll pick you up and take you home safely.
