In recent months Canadian rap superstar Drake has been back in the headlines again for his streaming antics, including no few mentions of his massive sponsorship deal with crypto casino firm Stake.com. The hitmaker reportedly signed a $100 million deal with the international gambling operator in 2022, and has been promoting them ever since. But how has that developed in recent weeks?

Since releasing three albums in May 2026, Drake has been on a promotional spree for the record-breaking releases -and now he has turned back to his big sponsor. The star also had his biggest recorded gambling win in 2026, hitting a $30 million maximum slot payout. In a recent live stream on Stake-affiliated platform Kick, he teased a potential 10-year Stake anniversary stream coming in 2027.

The Album Push and the Maximum Win

After going relatively quiet on social media for some while, amid rumors of a gambling loss streak, Drake returned to the world of music in May 2026 releasing three albums back to back – Iceman, Habibi and Maid of Honour. This resulted in hundreds of millions of streams, and him becoming the first artist to have three albums in the top three positions of the US’ Billboard 200.

Since that release he upped his promo game, and Stake and Kick have been a key part of that. In April the rapper uploaded a video of him hitting a $30 million slot maximum win on the Stake.com mobile site. That would be one of the biggest online slot wins of all time.

Drake has since then gone viral for barking at a goth girl during a speed dating event with the NELK Boys, and giving away $50,000 to one random viewer of his gambling stream. The exact details of his Stake partnership are unclear, but it looks set to continue until at least next year because the rapper mentioned doing a special stream with Stake for the companies 10th anniversary.

Stake founder Ed Craven makes occasional, and sometimes controversial, appearances during Drake’s live streams and they appear to have a personal level relationship beyond the promotion deal.

How Big is the Stake Deal Really?

While Drake or Stake have never confirmed the number, it is widely reported that the deal paid $100 million to the rapper. How long exactly that is for, and what it entails contractually is not public. However, Drake has been regularly gambling on the app, either casino sessions on stream or posting his betting slips on social media, since he signed the deal in 2022.

Thanks to his massive international following, his high-limit sports bets in particular have gained massive attention online. The casino streaming sessions are often less viral, but still attract tens if not hundreds of thousands of viewers to streaming platform Kick – which is owned by the Stake.com founders.

Since it isn’t a publicly traded or regulated company, there’s no clear figure on Stake’s revenues. However, most estimates suggest around $4 billion a year, which puts them on a level with big US operators like DraftKings. There is no doubt Stake is a huge operation, and so can afford to pay the huge kind of sums involved in the Drake deal.

For example, consider Sportsbook Review’s roundup of Stake bonus codes – an in-depth and detailed page full of information on just this one site’s bonus offers. This demonstrates the massive demand for review content around Stake, as players want comprehensive breakdowns of its offers’ terms, conditions and potential value.

Stake quickly became one of the biggest names in the explosive growth of the crypto gambling space, after it was founded in 2017 by young Australian entrepreneurs Ed Craven and Bijan Tehrani.

Drake’s Sports Betting Exploits

As well as streaming casino jackpots on Kick, Drake often posts his massive sports bets. His variable success has often lead people to joke about him being cursed, with fans even setting up a dedicated site to track his (public) sports betting wins and losses.

Among his most recent bets were some big ones. In July the rapper posted a Stake slip of him losing a $1.5 million bet on Argentina to win the 2026 FIFA World Cup final. Although, only a few days before he had won $30 million on a slot.

His most bet on sport according to the tracker is the UFC, but he his best win rate is from betting on cricket. According to public records he has wagered some $40 million total, but he claims to have put down $100 million in total over the past decade.

This hasn’t all gone without controversy. Arguably the world’s biggest rapper (commercially) heavily promoting gambling hasn’t been without its detractors – and rival chart-topping rapper Kendrick Lamar famously accused him of having a gambling problem during their 2024 rap beef.
