Update: Butch Jones probably not next head football coach

Several sources, including The Denver Post and Cincinnati Enquirer, are reporting that Butch Jones has declined an offer from CU for the head coaching job. More to come.

The Denver Post is reporting that a source close to the situation has said the final details of Cincinnati football coach Butch Jones’ head coach offer are still being worked out but that he is to be the next head coach.

CU spokesperson Bronson Hilliard has Tweeted that Butch Jones has not accepted the offer.

Other sources claiming that there will be a decision made tomorrow either way.

The head coaching position has been vacant for about two weeks when Jon Embree was fired by Athletic Director Mike Bohn after one of the worst seasons in Buff’s history.
