When you blend the lines between genres, gender, sexuality and inappropriateness, you’re left with music that pushes the boundaries, hits just the right note and perfectly describes the sound of Canadian rock diva Peaches.
Saturday night she plays the Summit Music Hall, a medium-sized venue right in the heart of Denver. On the corner of 19th Street and Blake Street, Summit shares a block with popular bars including The 1up and Sports Column — great spots to hit after the show. Peaches headlines, with specials guests Boyhollow, option4, Teena Pizza and Narky Stares.

Her music skates between genres into categories that aren’t clear cut: dance punk, electroclash, synthrock. She burst on the scene in 2000 with her debut album “The Teaches of Peaches.” Her first song off the album, “F** the Pain Away,” describes her attitude and music — brash, dirty and insightful.
You’ve heard her music in movies including “Mean Girls” and “Lost in Translation,” and also in shows like “30 Rock” and “The L Word.” She hasn’t released an album since her 2009 “I Feel Cream,” but it’s rumored a new album is in the near future.
Her mix of electronic and rock create awesome melodic beats to dance to. The set list for the show should include popular hits like “Talk to Me,” “Shake Yer Dix” and fan-favorite “Boys Wanna Be Her.”
Peaches, unpredictable as always, is known for her crazy stage antics including bizarre outfits, suggestive dancing and occasionally a giant inflatable penis. At 45, Peaches has lost no energy and is sure to put on a fantastic show.
