Every fall, CU likes to welcome parents to its campus, bringing families together for a three-day event. The university recognizes the importance of remaining connected with loved ones and looks forward to promoting this value by providing a weekend full of activities for students and their parents.
Friday
Family Weekend kicks off with the 15th Annual Family Weekend Golf Tournament 9 a.m. Friday morning. The tournament is located right outside of Boulder at the Colorado National Golf Club. The course is assessable to all levels of golfers, and it costs $115 per person to take part in the fun. Prizes are included with completion, followed by a buffet lunch.

If you did not take part in early registration for Family Weekend on Thursday, you can stop by the UMC (University Memorial Center) anytime between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. A continental breakfast will be provided, along with name badge, ticket and fun run package pickups for those who are participating.
It is an option for parents to attend class with their students, if their professors approve of visitors. An assortment of tours and presentations will take place in the morning, touching on issues such as tax planning for college students and maximizing the value of a CU degree. A chance will also be available to sign up for the various tours meeting in the UMC, including a tour of NCAR from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
After morning activities, there will be a Welcome Luncheon taking place in the Glenn Miller Ballroom from noon until 1:30 p.m for $15 per person. Entertainment will be provided, followed by a set of optional afternoon tours. From 5:30 until 6:30 p.m., there will be dinner held in the residential dining centers. Parents and siblings will receive their meals free of charge, if they are wearing their name badges.
Saturday
Saturday will begin with another opportunity for registration in the UMC, from 8:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Tours and presentations will be running throughout the day, including information sessions on studying abroad and locating off-campus housing. For $15 a person, a pre-game lunch will be held in the Glenn Miller Ballroom from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Before the CU vs. UCLA game, Ralphie will be mingling with her fans in front of the Duane Physics building. The football game will take place at Folsom Stadium, with tickets at $40 per person and kick off at 4:00 p.m.
Sunday
To end the weekend, the Sixth Annual Buffalo Family Stampede will take place on Sunday morning, from 9:00 until 10:30 a.m., for $18 per person. This is a traditional 5K Fun Run/Walk that will begin and end at the Duane Physics Lawn. Not only will families get the chance to enjoy the CU campus during one of the most beautiful times of the year, but all proceeds will be donated to the CU Wardenburg Health Center Medical Expense Assistance Fund.
