MONDAY
UMC Halloween Costume Contest
Happy Halloween! Show off your costume and win some prizes in the UMC costume contest at 12 p.m. in the North Dining Hall. Both students and faculty are eligible for entry. Even if you decide not to enter the contest, come watch to get some sweet giveaways. RSVP with your name, costume and whether you are student or faculty to Kayla Monahan.

Lydia @ Club 156
Program Council presents indie rock duo Lydia in Club 156. Denver’s Ashtree will open at 8:30 p.m. Get your tickets on the Program Council website.
Kathleen Flinn @ the Boulder Book Store
Kathleen Flinn, author of “The Kitchen Counter Cooking School,” will be at the Boulder Book Store offering tips on healthy cooking and smart shopping, as well as revealing some of her favorite simple recipes. The event begins at 7:30 p.m. Vouchers are $5 and can go toward a discount on Flinn’s book or on any purchase on the day of the event. Check out the Boulder Book Store website for more details.

Slow Dance with a Hot Pickup
Check out this musical about America’s unique fascination with competition. Join the actors as they compete against each other to win a shiny pick up truck. This is the last week the musical will be showing at the Boulder Dinner Theater, so get your tickets now! Pearl Street Stampede
Come by the Pearl Street Stampede to get riled with your fellow Buffs for Friday night’s football game. Follow the marching band, football team and cheerleaders from the Boulder County Courthouse to the east end of Pearl. Parade begins at 7 p.m.
Ladies Night with the CUI
Absinthe House and the CU Independent are hosting Ladies Night this week, once again. Women enjoy free drinks from 10 p.m. till midnight while DJ Petey mixes sweet jams.
2011 Adventure Film Festival
If you love adventure, then you’ll love the Adventure Film Festival. Forty films packed with skiing, climbing, riding and flying are showing all weekend long. Check out the festival from Nov. 3rd to the 5th at the Boulder Theater, REI and Patagonia Boulder. Visit the website for a full film line up.

Fall 2011 MFA Graduate Thesis Show
Support the MFA Graduate students as they exhibit the pieces they have been working on all semester. Come check out their art, which will be on display from Nov. 4th through the 17th in the Projects Gallery of the CU Art Museum in the Visual Arts Complex. Mad Hatter Brunch & Fashion Show
