The normal batch of high-profiled Colorado Buffaloes football alums missed the gridiron because they had a bye-week.
However, there were still a few former Buffs who made an impact in the NFL on Sunday.
Here are five former Buffaloes that CU fans should know about:
Chris Brown, Houston Texans running back: Brown had four carries for 14 yards and one catch for 4 yards in the Texans’ 24-21 win over the San Francisco 49ers.
Mason Crosby, Green Bay placekicker: Crosby went 1-for-2 in field goals, nailing an 18-yarder near the end of the third quarter as the Packers defeated the Cleveland Browns 31-3.
Tyler Brayton, Carolina Panthers defensive end: Brayton had one sack and hit Buffalo quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick three times in the Panthers’ 20-9 loss to the Bills.
Donald Strickland, New York Jets cornerback: Strickland returned from missing four game with an ankle injury and had three tackles in the Jets’ 38-0 shutout win over the Oakland Raiders.
Lawrence Vickers, Cleveland Browns fullback: Vickers had one catch for 10 yards in the Browns’ 31-3 loss to the Packers.
What to watch for on Monday Night Football: No former Colorado football players will be in Monday Night’s matchup between NFC East rivals Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins. But that doesn’t mean it won’t be a good game.
