Concert, dance party make up All Hallows Eve
On Tuesday, Boulder’s Fox Theatre is ringing in Halloween with a concert, featuring the CD release of UpRoot and Higher Minds and Free Amigos.
Starting at midnight there will be a costume-clad dance party with tunes courtesy of DJ Symmetry.
The All Hallows Eve Party is officially hosted by Students for Peace and Justice as well as Boulder Attention Homes. SFPJ is an entirely-student run organization that is dedicated to “progressive social change through education and non-violent action.” The group meets every Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Burnt Toast on the hill.
The headlining band, UpRoot, is a Boulder band, a blend of reggae, rock, jazz and hip-hop. After two years of recording UpRoot is finally releasing their album, “Levity,” on Oct. 30 at the All Hallows Eve Party.
Also, DJ Symmetry will be hosting the Halloween dance party beginning at midnight until close.
All proceeds of the All Hallows Eve Party go to local non-profits. So even if you dress up as a devil, you will leave the party as a regular do-gooder.
Location: The Fox Theatre
Time: The doors open at 7:30 p.m. The Halloween dance party begins post-concert, at midnight until close.
Age: All Ages (CQ)
Ticketing: $10 in advance, and $12 at the door.
Additional Info: There will be a costume contest, so costumes are definitely encouraged.
