CU student Greg Colussy earns title, will be featured in Oct. issue
Some men will go to great lengths to pose for Playboy. Greg Colussy, a 20-year-old business administration major, is one of them. He lived the ultimate fantasy of many male students at CU in the October 2007 issue of Playboy as one of the “best dressed men on campus.”
He entered into a nationwide contest for Playboy where he was judged on “interpretation, style and creativity,” according to playboy.com.

Colussy was contacted by the magazine and asked to stay at a luxurious Times Square hotel in New York City, all-expenses paid, in the last week of May 2007. He then had a photo shoot with Playboy models and famed photographer Nigel Barker, from the series “America’s Next Top Model”.
An avid reader and fan of Playboy — yes, he does actually read the articles — Colussy broke the news to his parents soon after.
“They were unsure about it at first, but it was a lot of fun, then they started to brag to their friends,” Colussy said.
He eagerly flew to New York to be wined and dined by the Playboy crew. He picked up a free package of designer clothing and was interviewed about being a so-called fashion “visionary.”
“Quirky elegance,” are the words Colussy uses to describe his style and line of clothing.
For five years Colussy was the president of the Shibby and Colus clothing line that he and his friend, Dean Catlett, started while they were students at Cherry Creek High School in Denver.
He is influenced by the designer Modern Amusement and has a “Cali-feel and a higher-class elegance.”
When he is not “transforming the conventional garment,” Colussy can be found on the Hill listening to Mos Def with his buddies.
Since graduating from high school, Colussy and Catlett have both been focusing on their college careers. Colussy plans on eventually moving to New York City to study fashion at the Parsons School of Design.
However, not before he tries to get into the notorious Playboy Mansion.
“If I’m in L.A., I’d pull some strings, you know, see what happens,” Colussy said.
