Pictures of the night
Here are a few highlights of the night:
The second annual Miss Greek competition was held in the Coors Events Center on Wednesday. MC’s Andy Gerk and Kristin Waitkus introduced the contestants by asking them a question on CU history and having them say something interesting about themselves.
In order of appearance, sophomore finance and marketing major Jordan Smith of Kappa Kappa Gamma, sophomore broadcast news major Ariel Mata of Gamma Phi Beta, and sophomore communications and pre-journalism major Danika Brysha of Pi beta Phi.
The contestants performed a talent act that best displayed school spirit. Junior arts and crafts major Kate Lesueur of Chi Omega performed a dance, then senior math and education major Joanna Webb of Delta Delta Delta acted out a comedy sketch. Followed by Ariel Mata doing a cheer routine, senior environmental studies and business administration major Karsten Head of Kappa Alpha Theta danced with CU mascot Chip, and Danika Brysha laid down a rap.
After the talent segment, the final three contestants were presented, (from left to right) Danika Brysha, Karsten Head, and junior MCDB major Ashley Moore. Karsten Head took the crown and Chip rushed to the stage. (CP Photos/Andrew Slack)
