No humans injured, one dog is killed
At 2:16 p.m., Tuesday the Boulder Fire Department responded to a call from 1204 Pleasant St. for heavy smoke in an apartment.
According to Deputy Fire Chief Dave Cain firefighters from the first engine entered unit C to find a stove fire. They extinguished the fire, which may have also extended into the attic. A second and third engine came and helped clear the building.
“One dog died in the unit of origin,” said Cain.
The dog is believed to be a Collie.
Kelly Miles is a resident of the same building who “came out ’cause we kept hearing broken glass.”
According to Miles they were spraying water from the inside out the windows.
No humans were reported injured from the fire.
