Restaurant offers ‘New York-style Italian food’
D’Napoli Ristorante, located at 835 Walnut St., has been a staple of downtown Boulder for over 17 years.
Opened by Tom and Liz Neapolitan, two native Italian New Yorkers, the establishment was later bought by Bill Gregorak, who has continued to run the successful business.
“We offer New York-style Italian food made from family recipes,” Gregorak said.
This rings true, as a quaint patio – where it would not be hard to imagine Tony Soprano sitting – is the first thing you notice walking up to the restaurant.
The inside of the restaurant sports many framed posters of vegetables and wine, accentuating the warm family-friendly Italian atmosphere. The Beatles drift out of speakers, providing light and carefree dinner music. A separate room in the back houses a sizable bar with a television for the sports enthusiast.
