I’ve experimented with plenty of garage storage ideas over the years—wall hooks, shelving racks, metal cabinets.

But none of them really solved the main issue: having a functional workspace.

That changed when I installed a modular cabinet system with a built-in workbench. The shelves in the middle are fully adjustable, letting me store items of all different heights—making it the perfect fit for my ever-changing garage setup.(FLEXIMOUNTS garage cabinets)

Storage alone isn’t enough

If you actually use your garage for projects, repairs, or DIY work, you need a dedicated work surface.

The integrated workbench in this system sits right in the middle of the layout. Above it is a shelf that keeps tools and supplies close at hand.

This makes it easy to work on projects without constantly walking around the garage looking for tools.

Organized but Still Accessible

The system uses a mix of open shelves and cabinets.

Open shelves hold bulky equipment like power tools and generators. Cabinets keep chemicals and automotive fluids safely stored away.

Because the door panels can be removed, you can easily switch between open and closed storage.

Tool Access Where It Matters

One feature I didn’t expect to like so much is the perforated side panels.

They allow tools to be hung on the side of the cabinets, similar to a pegboard.

That keeps frequently used items right next to the workbench, where they’re most useful.

A Workspace That Encourages Projects

Since installing this system, my garage has become a much more productive space.

Instead of clutter and frustration, I now have organized equipment storage, accessible tools and a proper workbench

And that simple change has made working in the garage far more enjoyable.
