Don’t forget to take a break from all that studying and check out these fun things happening around Boulder this weekend.
FRIDAY
“Super 8” in CHEM 140
Instead of paying $10 to see a movie in the theaters this weekend, come to the Program Council’s Friday Night Film Series to see “Super 8” for free. J.J. Abram’s sci-fi thriller will have you and your friends on the edges of your seats. Film begins at 9 p.m.
SATURDAY
Colorado vs. California
Come cheer on your Buffs as they take on the California Golden Bears in their first-ever home game in the Pac 12 conference. Game begins at 1:30 p.m. in Folsom Field. The bookstore is offering 20% off all Pac 12 merchandise, as well as free face painting from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Plus, don’t miss your chance to meet Chip and score a free pair of pom-poms between 12 and 1 p.m.
A Paris Street Market
Football not your thing? Check out the Parisian Street Market for its last weekend at the 29th Street Mall. Strolling the streets of this open-air antique and vintage artisan market is the perfect way to spend a sunny afternoon in Boulder. Market opens at 9 a.m. and closes at 3 p.m.
SUNDAY
9-11 Memorial Concert
This Sunday is the tenth anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks. A memorial concert will be held in Grusin Music Hall at Imig Music from 2 to 3 p.m. College of Music faculty members will join together to commemorate those that lost their lives that day. This event is free and open to the public.
