Monday
Free yoga at Wesley Fellowship
Get your “ohm” on with a free yoga class at the Wesley Fellowship. Class begins at 6:00 p.m. and goes until 7:15 p.m., but get there early because it’s pretty popular. The Wesley Fellowship chapel sits right by campus on Colorado and Folsom.
Tuesday
The Conference on World Affairs Athenaeum series presents The Yes Men
The Yes Men, aka Andy Bichlbaum and Mike Bonanno, are sociopolitical satirists. They’ll give their two cents in a free public talk in the UMC Ballroom at 7:00 p.m. A free dinner for students with the Yes Men will be held before. RSVP to ath@colorado.edu for a seat.
Wednesday
Steve Aoki with J Flash at the Boulder Theater
Live music! The man who found party artists like Bloc Party and The Gossip brings his stuff to B-town. Tickets are $28.75 in advance or $30.75, plus an extra $2 if you’re under 21. The show starts at 9:00 p.m.
Boulder Benefit for Haiti
The group B4 Haiti has collaborated with restaurants Centro and the West End Tavern to help raise money for Haiti. You’ll also have a chance to win prizes from local businesses. Go eat for a good cause!
Thursday
The Cultural Events Board presents “Ask Your Mama: 12 Moods for Jazz“
Come to the UMC Ballroom on Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. for a free jazz concert. The Langston Hughes Project is a multimedia concert centered around the poem “Ask Your Mama: 12 Moods for Jazz.” There will be a reception afterwards.
Connections Night at the UMC Connection
Every first and third Thursday, GLBTQIA – Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Trans-gender, Queer, Inter-sexed, and Allied folks encourage you to come and meet new people and join in on the dance party. Five bucks gets you unlimited bowling, pool, Wii and poker for two hours.
Friday
Faux Punk- The Ultimate Daft Punk Tribute at the Fox
Daft Punk already has a tribute band, and they’re coming to Boulder. Human Agency and 12BC open the show at 9:00 p.m. Tickets are $15 plus another $2 if you’re under 21.
Program Council presents Zero with special guests at Club 156
A trio of rockers named Zero come to Boulder. Their sound? Think Arctic Monkeys or Cage the Elephant. Tickets are $5 presale, $7 day of show. The fun starts at 8:30 p.m.
