Colorado’s women’s golf team is now in sixth place overall in the Big 12 championships with a team score of 606.
Oklahoma State extended their lead to 10 strokes at the Jimmy Austin OU Golf Course after Saturday’s performance.
Sophomore Emily Talley leads the team overall, with a two round score of 147, shooting 75 (+3) on the day. The March Big 12 player of the month is tied for fourth overall in individual scores.
Junior Stephanie Simich shot 73 (+1) on Saturday and is tied for 24th overall. Her score is tied for 5th best all time for CU at the Big 12 Championships.
Also helping the Buffs is senior Christine Kim. Kim shot a five over par 77 and is tied for 24th overall with Simich.
The Buffs sit seven shots back of second placed Texas. Colorado also sits behind Texas A&M, Kansas State and Iowa State.
The Buffs will look to make up ground Sunday, which is the final day of the Championships. They will tee off with the first three groups with senior Dominique Pytlewski hitting her first shot at 8 a.m.
