The Colorado Buffaloes women’s golf team had a late final round surge, but still fell short at the Indiana Invitational.
CU posted a team round of 292, their best of the spring, but still finished in second and six strokes behind host Indiana on Sunday in Bloomington, Ind.
The Buffs posted a three round total of 892, while the Hoosiers finished with a score of 886. Rounding out the top five in team scores was Iowa State in third (895 points), Minnesota in fourth (896), and Michigan in fifth (898).
Sophomore Emily Talley was the highest placed CU golfer with her tying for 15th while shooting a 223 in three rounds. Freshman Taylor Doyle and junior Stephanie Simich both tied for 22nd while senior Christine Kim ended the tournament tied for 27th.
Next up for Colorado is the Big 12 Tournament from Apr. 23 to 25 in Norman, Okla.
