The study shows that Colorado recorded the tenth-strongest demand for SEO professionals nationwide.
The study by the pioneering SEO agency, Bruce Clay Inc., analyzed LinkedIn job posting data across U.S. states for SEO-related positions including full-time roles, internships, and training opportunities. Using 2025 population estimates, the data was then used to calculate the number of open positions per 100,000 residents to determine which states show the highest demand for SEO talent.
Colorado ranks tenth with 1.86 open SEO roles per 100,000 residents, 45% higher than the national average of 1.28 roles per 100,000 residents. The Centennial State has 112 total open SEO roles among its population of 6,013,650 in 2025. This includes 91 open SEO job roles and 21 open SEO internship/training roles.
Looking at the study, a spokesperson from Bruce Clay Inc. commented:
“This study highlights how states are investing in SEO talent and how the demand for digital marketing expertise continues to grow across America. States like Colorado stand out for their strong appetite for SEO professionals, with opportunities spanning entry-level internships and senior strategic positions.”
