Despite bitter weather conditions, around 100 people gathered at a mid-day rally held Monday, Jan. 21 outside the Boulder County Court House on Pearl Street. Bundled beneath heavy coats with scarves twisted around their faces, people of all different ages and ethnic backgrounds stood attentively as speeches were made, essays were read, and songs of peace were sung.

Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Phil DiStefano will be in charge of conducting a nation-wide search for CU’s next vice chancellor. As of now, there is no official search committee at hand or any potential candidates, but DiStefano plans to have the committee formed by the end of this month.

The Sibell Wolle Fine Arts building, which has stood on the CU campus for nearly a century, was reduced to a pile of bricks and debris on Jan. 4.
A new building, named the Visual Arts Complex, will fill the vacant lot where Sibell Wolle once stood.

Police are holding a suspect in the investigation of an accident that damaged six cars on the 800 block of 11th and Aurora. The accident occurred shortly before 1:00 a.m. Wednesday.
