Officers are investigating an assault that occurred on the Hill Thursday night.
The victim told police he got into a verbal argument at a party near 13th and Euclid with some males. The victim and his friends were asked to leave the party. They went outside and an altercation ensued where the victim was knocked unconscious. He said he believes he was hit and kicked while unconscious, according to the Boulder Police blotter.
The victim returned home, but went to the hospital the next morning after waking up in excruciating pain, according to the Boulder Police blotter. The doctors discovered that both sides of his jaw had been fractured and will require surgery.
So far no arrests have been made and more information will be released as it becomes available.
