The Buffs came back from 17 down, only to lose in the final minutes Tuesday. The Bulldogs beat the Buffs 83-74.
With 1:33 left in the game the Buffs only trailed 72-70. They had come back from a 17 point deficit thanks partially to Georgia’s 28-43 shooting from the charity strike. The next possession for the Bulldogs was a lay-up by junior Gerald Robinson Jr. to increase the lead to four. The Buffs turned the ball over on their next trip down and the Bulldogs clanked in another two to close the game.
CU sophomore Alec Burks had 23 points and senior Corey Higgins had 15 in head coach Tad Boyle’s first loss at Colorado.
