Bianca Smith is heading to Indy.
The senior guard on the Colorado Buffaloes women’s basketball team will be one of eight competitors who will participate in the 22nd Annual State Farm Slam Dunk and 3-Point Championships Thursday at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis.
Smith holds the school’s all-time record for 3-pointers made with 257 and attempted with 707. She has a career three point percentage of 36.4 percent which ranks 10th on CU’s career list.
The Missouri City, Texas native is the reigning Big 12 Conference Women’s Basketball Sixth Man Award winner and ranks ninth in the Big 12’s all-time 3-pointers made with 257.
ESPN will televise the event at 7 p.m. as part of the NCAA’s Bracket Town events prior to the men’s basketball Final Four that begins Saturday.
Smith expects to graduate in May with a bachelor’s degree in sociology.
