Dan Hawkins is adding two familiar faces to his coaching staff.
The Colorado head football coach announced on Friday the addition of Robert Prince and the full-time addition of Ashley Ambrose to his coaching staff for the 2010 season. Prince has been named the passing game coordinator and receivers coach while Ambrose will coach the secondary.
Prince has spent the last six seasons as an assistant coach in the National Football League, but coached under Hawkins at Boise State for the 2001-03 seasons. Last year, it was Hawkins who coached the receivers, making him just one of seven FBS head coaches to coach a position.
Ambrose, who was a defensive technical intern last season, replaces Greg Brown as the secondary coach, after he left for Arizona for a co-coordinator position.
Both coaches will make their “on-field” debuts for CU on the first day of spring practice on March 6.
