The alleged perpetrator of a Labor Day assault is now facing a charge of attempted second-degree murder.
According to a news release, police arrested Kory Thomas White, 23, on Sept. 7 in connection with a brawl on the Hill. A victim not identified in the press release was hit on the head with an unknown object at about 1 a.m. on Sept. 7, at a house on the 800 block of Marine Street. Boulder Police spokeswoman Sarah Huntley said that White had been arrested in Pueblo, Colo. and bonded out of jail before coming back to Boulder for his first hearing.
Court records state that White had his first appearance Monday morning at the Boulder County Jail. He is facing a total of seven charges, including first-degree assault with a deadly weapon and second-degree attempted murder.
White is due for his preliminary hearing at the Boulder County Court House Oct. 15.
