A traffic accident at 30th Street and Colorado Avenue left a CU alumnus in critical condition, according to Boulder Police Department spokeswoman Sarah Huntley.
Officers were called to the scene at about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Boulder police blotter. Witnesses stated that they saw a man fall off of his motorcyle in the way of oncoming traffic and was hit by a pickup truck, suffering life-threatening injuries.
By about 7:00 p.m., Boulder police officers were seen with firemen directing traffic around the scene of the accident. Inside the police tape there was a white motorcycle laying on its side and a pile of clothes with an army-green back pack sitting next to them. A blue pickup truck with damage to its left front bumper was being towed away.
Huntley could not release the man’s name, saying only that he is a CU alumnus.
