Police are investigating a second-degree assault that occurred early Friday morning outside The Foundry on Pearl street.
“They found the victim on the ground. He was bleeding at first and it was hard to tell if he was breathing,” said Boulder PD spokeswoman Sarah Huntley.
Huntley said that the victim “had apparently been involved in breaking up a fight of some kind,” before the suspect came back later and punched him an estimate of two times. The victim was taken to Boulder community hospital with facial wounds, according to a Boulder police news release.
Huntley described the suspect as a man with a dark, backward-facing hat, a dark, hooded sweatshirt and black sneakers. He had one side of his head shaved and a pony tail on the back. The victim is 36, and his name was not released because the case is still being investigated.
