Week 1 of the National Football League is almost behind us (except for those two Monday night football games), and former CU football stars are already making impacts for their professional teams.
Here are some former Buffs who may not have been on students’ fantasy teams that they should have paid attention to on Sunday:
Mason Crosby, placekicker for the Green Bay Packers: Crosby’s two field goals helped the Packers beat the Chicago Bears 21-15 in the first Sunday Night game of the season. Crosby hit a 52-yard field goal in the second quarter as well as a 39-yarder in the third.
Jordan Dizon, linebacker for the Detroit Lions: Dizon had four tackles as the Lions lost their 17th straight game in two seasons, falling to the New Orleans Saints 45-27.
Daniel Graham, tight end for the Denver Broncos: Graham had three catches for 40 yards in the Broncos 12-7, last minute victory over Cincinnati.
Tyler Brayton, defensive end for the Carolina Panthers: Brayton had two tackles in the Panthers 38-10 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Brian Iwuh, linebacker for the Jacksonville Jaguars: Iwuh had two tackles in Jacksonville’s 14-12 loss to Indianapolis.
What to watch for on Monday Night Football: Tyson DeVree will lead the New England Patriots’ tight ends as they battle the Buffalo Bills at 5 p.m. (MST) on ESPN in the first game of a Monday Night Football double-header.
