A man was arrested Tuesday after allegedly attacking a companion with a utility knife near Williams Village, according to a police report.
Boulder PD officers responded to a report of two transients harassing customers outside the Broker Inn late Tuesday evening. The men, identified as Christopher McLaren, 31 and Jeddie Spottedwolf, 24, walked away but stopped after officers followed them.
Each man accused the other of attack with a knife.
McLaren’s jacket had slash marks. McLaren said that he and Spottedwolf were drinking when Spottedwolf made a sexual advance on McLaren, which was denied. Spottedwolf then allegedly attacked McLaren.
McLaren showed officers where to find the knife, and Spottedwolf was arrested for First Degree Assault and on a Failure to appear warrant.
This is the second incident near Williams Village involving a tool used as a weapon. According to another police report, James Runyan, 41, was arrested after allegedly trying to rob a liquor store with “a leatherman tool.”
None of the parties involved could be contacted, and neither McLaren nor Spottedwolf had telephone numbers listed on the police report.
