Dance music fills the Fox Theatre
The Israeli psychedelic trance duo Infected Mushroom knows how to put on an amazing show and entertain crowds with upbeat techno/rock music.
The duo came to the Fox Theatre on March 18 and kept the crowd pumped and dancing the whole time.
“This was one of the best shows I have seen, especially on a Tuesday night,” said Ben McLain, a freshman history and theatre major.
McLain was sporting a T-shirt offering free hugs and was one of many people dressed like they were attending Burning Man. A lot of people also accessorized themselves with glow sticks, LED lights and other bright colorful objects.
The stage room was filled to capacity and standing room was hard to come by.
“I am really pleased to see a good Boulder turn out for an awesome experimental funk band,” said Ijah Jablonski, a junior dance major.
The techno/rock sound of the band kept the energy of the crowd well fueled as the seemingly nonstop dancing filled the theatre from wall to wall.
“Everyone is dancing and the crowd is pumped, which is making for a great atmosphere,” Jablonski said.
One of the founding members and band singer Amit Duvdevani had great stage presence and knew how to work the crowd, especially when he switched songs without stopping the music. The band went straight into the encore at the end of the show to keep the flow and energy of the crowd continuous.
“I love the rave scene at this concert and how the music is ongoing and constant,” said Stefan Bloom, a sophomore open-option major.
