Mother Nature cooking up a storm
Mother Nature’s giving couples a reason to huddle together on Valentine’s Day.
Valentine’s Day plans may need to be adjusted as a winter storm is in the forecast beginning Wednesday night.
Boulder could receive a possible total snow accumulation of 3-6 inches on Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.
Snow showers are expected to begin around 10 p.m. Wednesday night and will not cease until late Friday or early Saturday morning.
The temperature will be in the mid-20s Thursday with north winds from 15-30 mph.
A Snow and Blowing Wind Advisory is in effect for the Boulder area from midnight to 5 p.m. Thursday as gusty north winds will produce areas of blowing and drifting snow.
Expect drier conditions and partly sunny skies Friday with a high of 35.
