Users on campus reporting failed connections this morning, but the problem has been fixed
ITS has received complaints from CULink users this morning for the same problems that shut the e-mail system down over the weekend.
As of 9:30 a.m., some users had not been able to access their accounts using IMAP e-mail programs such as Microsoft Outlook on PCs and MacMail on Macs, according to the ITS Web site. The problem was fixed by the afternoon.
The the CULink Web site, culink.colorado.edu, is was functioning normally, according to the site.
CULink had been experiencing similar problems since the beginning of the semester. At one point, three of the five servers hosting the IMAP programs were problematic.
To correct the problem, ITS completely shut down CULink for periods of up to seven hours over the weekend and added two more servers to the system.
