Local haunted houses satisfy student cravings
People enjoy Halloween for a variety of reasons, but many people will argue that haunted houses are what makes the upcoming holiday worthwhile.
What is it that makes CU students want to visit haunted houses?
“They are like Christmas,” said Megan Burgess, 21, a junior speech, language and hearing sciences major. “They only come around once a year. You have to take advantage.”
Others like to test themselves to see what they can handle.
“I’m an adrenaline junkie, and I like to see how people can get creative,” said Tim Miller, 21, a junior chemistry major.
Some are not into haunted houses themselves, but for watching those around them get scared.
“I went to go with friends,” said Sean Daly, 24, a senior history and economics major.
Whatever the reason, people like to attend haunted houses, there is no shortage in the area.
