Artist: Soulive
For nearly a decade, this jazz trio has been laying out fresh soul grooves and keeping the funk scene alive. However, with last month’s release of their new album, “No Place Like Soul,” Soulive has become a quartet, adding a permanent vocalist, Toussaint, to their ranks. With this addition, these New York musicians show that they can still break down the barriers of their genre and their own sound which becomes ever more eclectic as they age. Be aware, this show is 21 and up.

Artist: Sleepytime Gorilla Museum
Presented by Radio 1190, the avant-garde, experimental rock band Sleepytime Gorilla Museum is returning to Denver. Strange only begins to describe these Oakland rockers who came together in 1999. Anyone who digs new, different sounds and truly unique live shows will not be disappointed.

Artist: “Weird Al” Yankovic
“Weird Al” is back again, polka and parodies in tow, for the Straight Outta Lynwood tour based on his most recent album of the same name.

Artist: Ben Kweller
26-year-old Ben Kweller has been making music for the past nineteen years, since his father taught him how to play the drums. Pursuing the rock-and-roll dream, Kweller formed several bands during high school and eventually dropped out to devote his life to music.

Fresh off of his work with the benefit project Instant Karma: The Amnesty International Campaign to Save Darfur, blues guitarist Ben Harper is touring again and making a stop at CU.

Artist: B.B. King
At 80, the king of the blues is still touring and can still belt out legendary hits. Performing at Red Rocks at sunset gives King and his fans an enviable locale — nothing like watching King and his guitar, Lucille, with a Denver sunset in the background.

Artist: The Allman Brothers Band
Yes, the Allman Brothers Band is still touring. Nope, Duane Allman hasn’t been resurrected yet. But, it should still be a rockin’ show, and honestly, how much longer are people going to be able to say they’ve heard “Jessica” performed live?

Monday, September 3
Artist: The Killers
Tickets go on sale Friday August 31 at 10 a.m. for these indie rockers out of Las Vegas. Since the release of their debut album, “Hot Fuss,” in 2004 the Killers have sold over 8 million albums. Their new-age British-influenced rock has won them national and international awards. All ages admitted.

Artist: Projekt Revolution Tour
Beginning at 12:45 p.m., headliners Linkin Park featuring Taking Back Sunday, My Chemical Romance, HIM, Placebo, Julien-K and others will be tearing up Coors Amphitheatre in Denver. One of the bigger annual tours of the summer, it’s not to be missed.
