Suspended from campus until hearing
At around 4 p.m. on Monday, the CU Police Department recieved a call reporting an incident that occurred in the ATLAS building.
The victim of the incident met with a policeman and reported that a student, who had asked her out numerous times, had threatened her with a pair of scissors in her office area.
Officers found the student in his residence hall and arrested him on felony menacing charges. When asked if he had any dangerous weapons in his room, the student reported that he had a dagger in his desk drawer. The dagger was taken, and the student was charged with unlawful conduct on public property for the possession of the dagger.
The student was then taken to the Boulder County Jail. The university has suspended the student from campus until the hearing process with the Office of Judicial Affairs.
At this time the victim’s and student’s identity are being withheld.
