Saturday the Buffs squared-off against their in-state rival Colorado State for the 83rd time in school history. It was one of the hottest Rocky Mountain Showdowns on record with temperatures hovering around 90 degrees for most of the afternoon. Despite solid scoring opportunities, Colorado fell 17-22 and had to relinquish The Centennial Cup.
CU Independent photographers were on the scene, and brought back images from a day that would rather be forgotten for Buff fans. See how Embree and the rest of the team respond next week against Sacramento State. Stick with the CU Independent for coverage of all things Buffs Football this season.[nggallery id = 74]
