Shalaya Kipp, a junior integrative physiology major, at the beginning of the 2011 CU Alumni/Open/Time Trial cross country event on Sept. 3 at the CU Buffalo Ranch course. Kipp finished third with a time of 21.45 and was optimistic about the upcoming year saying that it’s looking like it’s going to be a really good season. (Robert R. Denton/CU Independent)

Rob is a senior news-editorial major at the University of Colorado - Boulder in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication and is a managing editor for the CU Independent.
