Colorado departs from the Big 12 Conference with a bitter defeat at the hands of archrival Nebraska.
In their final appearance as a Big 12 school, the Buffaloes (5-7, 2-6 Big 12) were unable to muster a win against the Cornhuskers (10-2, 6-2 Big 12), who broke the Buffs two-game winning streak with a 45-17 victory at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Neb.
It is the third straight season since the 2007 campaign that the Buffs did not win a road game.
The game was an annual fixture for both schools since 1948. Both schools are splitting from the Big 12 Conference: the Buffs head west for the Pac 10 Conference, and the Cornhuskers head east for the Big 10 Conference.
Under the leadership of interim Head Coach Brian Cabral, the Buffs end their 2010 season at 5-7, improving from a 3-9 finish from the previous season. Cabral finishes with a 2-1 record as head coach.
