The fire which was reported around 5 p.m. this evening near Nederland is now under control and all evacuations have been lifted, according to the Boulder Office of Emergency Management.
The areas that were evacuated due to the fire include: Sugarloaf Road to Switzerland Park Road, East to Boulder Canyon, Boulder Canyon west to Peak to Peak Highway and Peak to Peak North to Sugarloaf Road. As of 7 p.m. this evening all of these residents were allowed to return home, according to the BOEM.
The distance of the fire is approximately 3.5 miles North East of the town of Nederland. The fire is 60 percent contained and they estimate full containment by 9 p.m., according to the BOEM.
