The Colorado Buffaloes women’s golf team will welcome three new players in 2010.
Head coach Anne Kelly announced Monday the signing of three high school recruits who will hit the greens for the Buffs.
Twin sisters Jenny and Kristin Coleman, and Tessa The signed National Letters of Intent to play for the Buffs beginning next fall.
“Overall, we are thrilled about our 2010-11 recruiting class,” Kelly said in a news release. “Not only are we adding highly talented players, but young women who will do a great job of representing CU in the classroom and on and off the golf course.”
The Coleman sisters are from Palos Verdes Peninsula High School in Rolling Hills Estates, Calif. Their accomplishments include Jenny Coleman’s 17th place finish in the 130-player field Callaway Junior World Championship in July while Kristin Coleman is currently ranked No. 14 on the National Junior Golf Scoreboard.
The (pronounced Tay) lettered four years in varsity golf at Los Altos High School in Los Altos, Calif. She qualified for both the 2008 Women’s Amateur and the 2007 and 2009 Junior Girls Amateur.
The team is on hiatus for the winter, but they will be back in action Feb. 8 at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge in Palos Verdes, Calif.
