Former Colorado Buffaloes football players went home unhappy Sunday as their respective NFL teams didn’t come away with any wins.
Although their professional teams lost, Colorado alums still accomplished something.
Here are five former Buffaloes who made something happen on Sunday:
Michael Lewis, San Francisco 49ers safety: Lewis had four tackles in the 49ers’ 34-27 loss to the Tennessee Titans.
Jordan Dizon, Detroit Lions linebacker: Dizon had a sack, a forced fumble and three tackles in the Lions’ 32-20 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
Tyler Brayton, Carolina Panthers defensive end: Brayton had two tackles, forced a fumble and sacked New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees once in the Panthers’ 30-20 loss to the Saints.
Justin Bannan, Baltimore Ravens defensive tackle: Bannan had four tackles, three assisted, in the Ravens’ 17-7 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
Mason Crosby, Green Bay Packers placekicker: Crosby didn’t get a chance to kick any field goals, but he did go 4-of-4 in extra-point attempts as the Packers lost 38-28 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It was Tampa Bay’s first win of the season.
What to watch for on Monday Night Football: Tight end Daniel Graham will look to help the Denver Broncos get back into the win column as they host the always-tough Pittsburgh Steelers at INVESCO Field at Mile High. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. MST.
