Florida, Texas and Alabama remain in the top three. What’s new?
Autzen Stadium is quacking loud and proud as the Oregon Ducks’ 47-20 shellacking of USC bumped them up three spots this week. As a result of their embarrassing loss, the Trojans have been booted out of the Top 10. Taking USC’s place are the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
Here is Week 3 of the CU Independent Top 10 college football poll:

No. 7 Oregon, 7-1, 30 points, last week No. 10: The Ducks played an amazing game against USC. They move up three spots and knock the Trojans out of the Top 10. – Kayla Cornett, staff writer
No. 8 TCU, 8-0, 27 points, last week No. 6: Hard to believe there are this many non-BCS teams in the Top 10. Maybe it’s time to rethink the BCS? – Callahan
No. 9 LSU, 7-1, 18 points, last week No. 9: There is something about the Tigers that I like that makes me want to put them in the Top 10 every season. I think it’s called winning the games that you are supposed to win and being competitive in the others. – Knabenbauer
No. 10 Georgia Tech, 8-1, 9 points, not ranked last week: Running back Jonathan Dwyer should be in the Heisman Trophy consideration and the Yellow Jackets have been the most consistent team in the Atlantic Coast Conference this year. – Starcer
