Tri-Executives support two out of three tickets
The University of Colorado Student Union’s three Tri-Executives have picked the tickets they are supporting this election. Tri-Executives Hadley Brown and Charles Gilford are endorsing the RiSE ticket, and Tri-Executive Sara Davine is in support of the ACTION ticket.
“(The) RiSE Ticket is going to be the best ticket to represent as many students on campus as possible,” Brown said. “It’s the only ticket that draws from lots of groups on campus and lots of different areas.”
The RiSE ticket contains students from many different backgrounds including the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Architecture and Planning, Leeds School of Business and the law school.
“A ticket can do a better job of representing students if the ticket has students who actually come from the groups they’re representing,” Brown said.
Tri-Executive Sara Davine supports the ACTION ticket.
“I think they have a really sound platform in general,” Davine said. “Their (policies) toward all student groups and addressing the issues that plague CU are really logical.”
Despite having no support from the Tri-Executives, the candidates running on the BUFFS ticket remain optimistic about their election potential.
“The voting comes down to each individual student, and we have been received extremely well on campus and hope to continue spreading our ideas,” said BUFFS ticket candidate Uller Doetsch.
The election ends at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26.
