Last year:
As a true freshman, Drescher was the Buffs’ primary long snapper. Playing on the field goal units and punt team, Drescher recorded two tackles on the season. Drescher was one of a handful of true freshman to earn consistent playing time last fall.
This season:
Drescher heads into spring practice this year as the team’s primary snapper. The sophomore is also a big body, when in case of an emergency situation, can fill in at offensive line. Drescher will be snapping to a new kicker this season as Kevin Eberhart takes over for the departed Mason Crosby.

Position:long snapper
Hometown: Southlake, Texas

Straight from the player:
On the value of playing in his freshman season: “It was definitely a learning experience. As the season went on I became more aware of my surroundings and grew into my role.”
On how his experience last season will help him next fall: “You grow from your mistakes last year and you learn what the college game is about. You also learn how to read defenses better and how to read punt returns.”
On the lack of notoriety for a snapper: “I never want my name in the paper for a bad snap but I don’t mind when (punter) Matt Di Lallo and (kicker) Kevin Eberhart get the credit for a good kick.”
