CU keeps fouling Nebraska on defense, which is giving the Cornhuskers a lot of free-throw opportunities. The Buffs are really crashing the offensive boards, which is one of the main reasons why they are starting to pull away.

The Buffs are looking good despite a few mistakes on both ends of the court. CU will have to play the entire second half without one of their best scorers, Xavier Silas. Silas was ejected after a scuffle occurred between him and Nebraska’s Ryan Anderson.

After Buffs’ guard Xavier Silas and Ryan Anderson of Nebraska get ejected from the game, Jermyl Jackson-Wilson drives to the basket and has a nice lay-up for the Buffs. Nebraska adds two free-throws and the Buffs lead by only one point. Nebraska turns the ball over, and the Buffs cannot capitalize. Nebraska’s Marcus Perry lands a jumper, which puts the Cornhuskers ahead. CU’s Kal Bay gets fouled and adds two free-throws to give the Buffs a slight lead.
Richard Roby gets a steal and has a nice assist to Xavier Silas who throws down the ball with a dunk. Head Coach Ricardo Patton has to pull Silas off of a Nebraska player on the defensive end after a little scuffle, which has both players on the floor. The referees get both coaches to the floor, and Silas is ejected from the game. Silas leaves the game with seven points.

Williams is fouled while getting a rebound and going for a lay-up. He shoots two free-throws and makes both of them. The Buffs are looking much better on defense, forcing another Nebraska turnover. Xavier Silas hit a 3-pointer, and CU pulls within one.

Junior Marcus King-Stockton has a nice lay-up for the Buffs, but Nebraska answers with another 2-pointer to maintain their lead. King-Stockton drives to the basket and gets a bucket for the Buffs. The Cornhuskers answer again, but Xavier Silas gets a bucket. The Buffs are playing pretty well at the start of this game, but they could look a little better on defense.
In senior Dominique Coleman’s and Head Coach Ricardo Patton’s last game at the Coors Events Center, the Buffs look to beat arch-rival Nebraska. Nebraska has an overall record of 16-12 while the Buffs post an overall record of 6-19 on the season. Saturday marks the last regular season game for the Buffs before they play in the Big 12 Championship on Mar. 8.
