Boulder officials encourage residents west of Broadway, north of Spruce to prepare for possible evacuation
Forecasters are calling for wind gusts as high as 50 mph starting after about 6 p.m. Thursday and lasting into early-morning hours, according to a City of Boulder news release.

A small number of students have been seeking care at Wardenburg due to smoke from the Fourmile Canyon fire, according to Dr. Donald Misch, assistant vice chancellor for health and wellness and director of Wardenburg Health Center.

There is a large brush fire in Fourmile Canyon, the fire is currently 6,427-acres large and has caused the evacuations of 3,000 residents, according to a Boulder County news release.
