The Colorado men’s basketball team earned a 50-43 win over Fresno State University at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, Calif., on Wednesday evening.
With the win, the Buffs improve to 8-2 in the season. It is the first true road win of the season for CU, coming off a 36-point loss to the University of Kansas Jayhawks last weekend. Additionally, the Buffs have won three games on neutral sites as they took first in the Charleston Classic Tournament at the beginning of the season.

Overall the team shot poorly Wednesday night, shooting only 42 percent from the floor and 57 percent from the free throw line. Junior forward Andre Roberson led the team in scoring with 17 points, while also grabbing 20 boards, a new career-high and first Buff to do so in ten years. Sophomore guard Askia Booker added 14 points and freshman forward Josh Scott contributed 11 of his own.
Despite an overall poor performance at the charity line, it was a series of free throws at the end that won the game for CU. Sophomore guard Spencer Dinwiddie hit one of two, then Roberson nailed the rebound and two free throws to put the Buffs up five. Colorado held its lead from there, building to a seven-point gap by the final buzzer.
The Buffaloes face the Northern Arizona University Lumberjacks in Boulder next Friday at 8:30 p.m. at the Coors Events Center.
