Mega-rita Monday
Having a case of the Mondays? Head to Half Fast Subs for a pick-me-up: Mega-rita Monday. $5 pitchers of margaritas are available all day.

Thursday Night at Absinthe House
Thursday nights are ladies’ night at Absinthe House. Ladies drink free from 9 p.m. to midnight. Drink specials are available all night. Stop by the CU Independent table to say hello!
MUSIC
CU’s Battle of the Bands
CU’s annual Battle of the Bands goes down 7:30 p.m. on Friday in the Glenn Miller Ballroom. The competing bands come from a wide variety of genres. Air Dubai and West Water Outlaws won in the past, so it’s possible that you’ll see a band’s big break. Admission is free.
Heartless Bastards
Indie darlings Heartless Bastards headline the Fox Theatre with opener Dana Falconberry on Wednesday. Doors are at 8 p.m., and the show starts at 8:30 p.m. Tickets for the all-ages show are $17 in advance, $20 on the day of the show, plus $2 for under 21 tickets.
Def.Rhymes.Divine
Northern Colorado’s own rap collective Def.Rhymes.Divine grace the Club 156 stage on Saturday. Supporting acts include Juke Jointed, Manny Moonz and C-Def. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the show starts at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $7 and can be purchased here.
MOVIES
“Sleepwalk With Me”
The semi-autobiographical “Sleepwalk With Me” follows a struggling stand-up comedian as he juggles a stagnant relationship, a stalled career and random sleepwalking bouts. The film is playing at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Dairy Center for the Arts. Tickets are $7-10.
“Beasts of the Southern Wild”
6-year-old Hushpuppy learns life lessons while dealing with her dying, hot-headed father and her flooding home in the Louisiana bayou in this award-winning independent film. The show, presented by IFS, is at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Tuesday in Muenzinger Psychology and Biopsychology. Tickets are $6 and up.
